They say that achievers usually see problems as challenges, while those who resign themselves to failing, see even the smallest problems as insurmountable. What ultimately determines who we become and where we go in life is our ‘decisions’ and decisions are about making choices. It’s not what we do, what we acquire or what we accomplish once in a while that counts but our consistent actions and efforts in making our space and the world around us a better place.
I have learned to accept life not as a series of challenges but as a journey whose aim was to support my growth and create more fulfilment. My thoughts and my beliefs have created every moment of my life. It was essential for me to accept that the past was gone and could no longer be altered. The future was unknown and it was in the present moment that I was given the opportunity to reflect, contemplate and put in motion the steps towards getting what I wanted. When I chose to live my life with this understanding, I knew that I was in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time.
